Location: Akokwaa, Ghana
This experience will be a 2 week trip in Ghana, where participants will serve at The Engyankwa wo enyiadad (Hope for orphans) Children’s Home. The home aims of empowering orphaned and vulnerable youth from impoverished communities. Currently, the home has about sixty children. The children’s home also has a school, which works with students in nursery through JHS 1. There are between 150-200 students in the school.
Estimated Cost: $3,000 (includes flight)
The majority of our fees go directly to the programs in which our volunteers serve in order to increase our impact in sustainability. The trip fees are broken down into two sections. Each participant's cost will vary based on their current immunizations, their plane ticket, and their selection for insurance.
Foundation Expenses: $1300

Accommodations, 3 meals/day, purified water, in and out-of-country staff support, airport pick up and drop off, and the associated costs for multiple excursions.
Outside Expenses:

Plane ticket, passport, visa, immunizations, Covid-19 pre-arrival and pre-departure tests (pending current requirements by Ghanaian Embassy), and traveler's insurance

*Yellow Fever is required and we require anti-malarial pills and Covid-19 vaccination proof.

Selection Process:
All individuals interested in attending our trips must fill out a brief application. After we have reviewed your application, we will contact you about space availability. Our goal is 10-15 people for each trip.
